This type of grant is intended for supporting outstanding researchers with bold ideas and a vision for transformative research that goes beyond the scope of existing ERC funding schemes. 

As part of its Science for Policy programme, the CAS supports researchers in formulating data-based recommendations, communicating knowledge, and engaging in dialogue with public administration in a professional and ethical manner.  

The 7th annual Science Communication 2026 conference will be held on 11 November 2026 at the Institute of Plasma Physics of the CAS.
