Thu Jun 17 10:33:36 CEST 2021

On 15 June 2021, the European Commission officially adopted and published the Horizon Europe Work Programmes for the period 2021-2022, which will operate with a budget of €14.7 billion during this period.

The HEU Work Programmes build on the Strategic Plan 2021-2024. Large-scale investments in this programme are expected to accelerate Europe's transformation into a more digital and greener region, ensure a sustainable recovery from the pandemic and improve Europe's resilience to further crises and disasters.

The first calls for proposals will be launched on the Funding & Tenders Portal from 22 June. For further information on the programmes, the EU is organising two major events in the coming days. Firstly, the European Research and Innovation Days on 23 and 24 June will offer participants the opportunity to discuss HEU among policy makers, researchers, innovators and citizens. Shortly thereafter, the EU is hosting another major event, the European Commission's Info Days, which will take place from 28 June to 9 July, where different funding opportunities and areas will be presented.
