SAFE fellowships for doctoral and postdoctoral researchers at-risk

The European Commission opens a pilot fellowship scheme for researchers of any non-EU nationality to work at a research institution in the EU.
The call is intended for non-EU researchers at-risk. Researchers already residing in the EU can also apply for fellowships. Each host institution may nominate only one candidate for a fellowship.
Fellowships will be awarded to scientists for a period of up to 24 months. The European Commission will allocate EUR 12 million to this activity until 2027.
The Call for Applications will be published on 18 November 2024. Deadline is on 20 January 2025.
