Results of the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships 2025 and ERA Fellowships 2025 calls

The European Commission will award €404.3 million to 1610 postdoctoral researchers. Ten MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships grants are allocated to institutes of the CAS. 

In 2025, there was a significant increase in applications compared to the previous call - by 64.6%. A total of 33 applicants from the Czech Republic were successful. The Czech Republic's success rate was 9.6%. 

The following institutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences host postdocs funded by the EU under the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships call:

• Institute of Ethnology - 3 
• Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biology - 2 
• Institute of Astronomy - 1 
• Institute of Physics - 1
• Institute of Microbiology - 1
• Institute of Experimental Botany - 1 
• Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry - 1 

In addition, 41 fellowships will go to excellent researchers to carry out their fellowships in "widening countries” under the European Research Area (ERA) Fellowships Action. One postdoc will work at the Institute of Informatics of the CAS under the MSCA ERA Fellowships 2025 call.
