REGON: Socio-economic impacts of research using the example of large research infrastructures

On Wednesday, 7 February 2024 at 9.00 a.m. online, the traditional meeting of the REGON series will take place, this time on the topic of the socio-economic impacts of research, specifically in the context of large research infrastructures.
The topic will be presented by Marek Vyšinka, Head of the Research Infrastructures Department of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and Michal Pazour, Head of the Department of Strategic Studies at the Technology Centre Prague. In addition to general concepts of socio-economic impacts of research, it will also present the basis of a new methodology for the evaluation of not only the socio-economic impacts of large research infrastructures, which is being prepared for use in the upcoming evaluation of large research infrastructures in the Czech Republic.
The topic of socio-economic impacts of research infrastructures is also the subject of an article in the November issue of ERGO magazine.
