Public consultation: Climate change - restoring sustainable carbon cycles

The European Commission invites comments on the EU initiative on restoring sustainable carbon cycles.

The initiative aims to create a long-term vision of sustainable carbon cycles (including CO2 capture, storage, and use) in a climate-neutral EU economy and to kick-start the development of CO2 capture and storage technologies in the EU.

Feedback on this plan can be submitted for a period of 4 weeks until 7 October 2021. Comments will be taken into account in further work on the initiative and its refinement.

The Commission will summarise the contributions received in a summary report explaining how they will be taken into account and, where appropriate, why some proposals cannot be taken into account. Comments received will be published on this website and must comply with the feedback rules.
