New innovation program

On 2 December 2022, the European Council adopted conclusions on the New European Innovation Agenda. Its goal is the strategic strengthening of innovation, which should make the EU a world leader in this sector.
Innovations play a key role in Europe's competitiveness not only with regard to ecological and digital transformation. The current geopolitical situation shows that the EU needs to rethink its approach to investing in innovation. Synergies between existing programs and funding initiatives need to be strengthened.
