European Innovation Council 2025 Work Programme adopted

The European Commission adopted the 2025 work programme of the EIC. Projects will be funded up to €1.4 billion.
The EIC Work Programme 2025 is based on four main schemes:
- EIC Pathfinder - multi-disciplinary research teams undertaking visionary research with the potential to lead to technology breakthroughs
- EIC Transition - projects turning research results into innovation opportunities; building on the results of the EIC Pathfinder and Proof of Concept projects of the European Research Council and open to project results from Horizon collaborative projects from Pillar 2 (societal challenges)
- EIC Accelerator - is dedicated to start-ups and SMEs to develop innovations
- The EIC Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform (STEP) - It will provide additional equity funding to promising companies, such as SMEs, start-ups, spin offs to drive innovation in critical areas to help them secure larger private co-investment for further scaling their businesses.
