European Commission call for selection of member of the expert groups

The European Commission invites experts to join the expert groups on zero pollution and water resilience.

Zero Pollution Stakeholder Platform Call for Applications 2026  

The Commission’s Directorate-General Environment (DG ENV) set up the Zero Pollution Stakeholder Platform, with a specific ambition set out in the Green Deal. Following the mid-term review of the Zero Pollution Action Plan published in January 2026, DG ENV has decided to update the terms of reference of the Platform and launched a call for new Platform members.

One of the selection criterion for candidates is specific experience in at least two and preferably more of the following areas of pollution prevention and control: 
  - Air pollution 
  - Noise pollution 
  - Water pollution 
  - Marine pollution  
  - Soil pollution  
  - Pollution from chemicals, products and waste

Call For Applications for the Selection of Members Of The Water Resilience Stakeholder Platform Expert Group

The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Environment (‘DG ENV’) set up the Water Resilience Stakeholder Platform as an informal Commission expert group in March 2026. 

The group’s mission shall be to to assist the European Commission in the implementation of the actions set out in the European Water Resilience Strategy.

Deadline: 17 April 2026
