Egypt was associated to the Horizon Europe Framework Programme

Egypt joined Horizon Europe. Egyptian research partners can participate in all parts of Horizon Europe under similar conditions as Member States.
The EU Commissioner for Startups, Research, and Innovation Ekaterina Zaharieva, and the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty, in the presence of EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, signed an association agreement at the EU–Egypt Summit in Brussels.
Currently, 21 countries are associated with Horizon Europe, including Egypt. Previous cooperation with the EU was carried out under the Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area agreement.
