ERC Starting Grant Mentoring Event – project evaluation and shortlisting

Mon Nov 01 10:45:40 CET 2021

The online event will be focused on the ERC StG evaluation process – how ERC’s evaluation panels work and how decisions within evaluation panels are made to recommend a grant application for funding.

This is an important opportunity for applicants to gain key insights into what makes a successful ERC application and a better understanding of the evaluation process.
The event will start with a plenary information session for potential applicants and a short Q&A with a representative from the ERC Executive Agency (ERCEA), Janka Mátrai. This will be followed up by a talk by Gergely Bőhm, ERC National Contact Point leader in Hungary on typical comments of ERC evaluation reports.

The main part of the event will include three parallel sessions focusing on each ERC research domain: Physical Sciences & Engineering (PE), Life Sciences (LS), and Social Sciences & Humanities (SSH). Each mock evaluation panel will be reviewing two examples of ERC grants, allowing attendees to gain key insights into this part of the funding process.

The event will take place online on 11 November 2021, 14:00-16:00 CET.

Registration is for free and is available here.
