Development of EOSC in Czechia: The Future of Research Data Management

Learn about the development of the Czech branch of the EOSC initiative, which started on 4 September 2023, when the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports approved the funding of the "IPs EOSC-CZ" project, covering this initiative in the Czech Republic, in an article published in February 2024.
The authors stress the importance of this initiative for the Czech Republic and in the article they map the Czech effort to develop research data management according to the principles of the European EOSC initiative, which aims to create a common research environment for storing, sharing and reusing so-called FAIR research data, which are data that are easily searchable, accessible, combinable and reusable.
They also mention the subsequent creation of the National Repository Platform (NRP) for storing research data, which will be an essential part of the future National Data Infrastructure (NDI), and emphasize the importance of scientists´ involvement for the success of the entire venture.
