Council adopts EU framework for science diplomacy

Council adopts first ever EU framework for science diplomacy. The EU is thus strengthening its role as a global leader in science diplomacy.

The aim is to approach science diplomacy strategically and, through it, being a tool for promoting EU interests, values, and sovereignty on the global stage. The proposed EU framework provides guidance and coordination for Member States and relevant stakeholders.
