Conference: The research road to net-zero industry
Fri Jun 30 13:21:21 CEST 2023
Register by 31 July for the Green Deal & Climate Days conference, which will be held in Brussels on 18 and 19 September, for a discounted half price of €125.
The motivation for holding the conference is the recently adopted EU law on net zero industrial emissions and the wider Green Deal strategy and how both will translate into research and innovation priorities. The conference program includes live plenary sessions with top EU representatives and the international research and innovation scene – from industry, research and politics.
In addition, concurrent high-level expert roundtables and panel discussions will address various topics such as green technology financing, sustainable aviation, zero-emission cities, hydrogen and green business, among others.
As ScienceBusiness reports, key questions to be answered during the conference include:
How can European climate policies and instruments help set the right research and investment priorities to help make it happen?
What are the key priorities for climate-related research in the short and medium term and how can EU funding support and leverage the success of green technology incubators, entrepreneurs and international cooperation?
What is the responsibility of large corporations in this process?
And how can Europe reconfigure supply chains to get the resources it lacks while avoiding creating new dependencies?
