The objective of the ToT is to train 16 pairs of ‘local trainers’, 8 pairs in June, and 8 pairs in September 2022 to deliver the 2-day professional training course on Evidence for policy.
Participants of the ToT learn how to train researchers to effectively inform the design of public policies and debates. It covers:
- assessing science,
- understanding the differences between policy and science, and
- gaining insight into the interaction between scientists, policymakers, and politicians.
Application criteria:
Candidates are required to apply in pairs. The course requires two ‘local trainers’:
- one with a minimum 5 years of experience in scientific research and
- one with a minimum of 3 years of experience in group facilitation.
